Myst: 25th Anniversary Album Artwork
For the Myst 25th Anniversary Cyan launched a Kickstarter. One of the digital goodies that they came up with releasing the soundtracks, as well as a special album composed by Russel Brower that had music inspired from each of the main games.
Some online storefronts allow for album art per song, I wanted to make sure each track had a unique art piece. Given that this music was "inspired by", and not exactly Myst, I wanted to do a take on the key art from each game, and make an illustration inspired by that. One part the original, one part a new art piece.

For the album cover I wanted to re create the iconic opening of Myst. The starry expanse and the fissure are some of my favorite things about the Myst franchise.
