Obduction Trading Cards and Travel Postcards

This series of five artworks was originally created as large-format versions of the Steam Trading Cards for Obduction. After the game’s release, I had the idea to design a travel postcard inspired by Obduction for personal use on my Facebook page. The concept quickly gained positive feedback, leading to approval for the creation of a full set of postcards, each representing one of the game's worlds.

The final artwork resonated so well that it was repurposed as official marketing material. The postcards were featured in the Obduction Kickstarter campaign, offered as rewards for backers at specific tiers, and used as exclusive swag for a Sony event.

My Responsibilities Included:

Concept Development: Proposed and designed the concept for the travel postcards, drawing inspiration from vintage travel posters.

Scene Composition: Captured and edited in-game screenshots of iconic locations to serve as backgrounds within the text.

3D Asset Utilization: Extracted and repurposed 3D models from key areas in the game to construct visually engaging compositions. This allowed me to create stylized, fictional perspectives that captured the essence of each world.

Graphic Design: Applied principles of vintage poster design, combining illustrative elements with digital rendering to achieve an authentic postcard aesthetic.

This project allowed me to blend technical expertise with creative storytelling, transforming memorable in-game moments into striking visual representations for fans and marketing initiatives.
